Subject Selection - Year 8 into 9 Guidelines

Students will study 6 subjects each semester:​

• ​Students will study the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science for the entire year.​​
  
• Students will study the core subject of Modern History for one Semester​​. 
  
• Students will study the core subject of HPE for one Semester. 
  
• Students will study 2 elective subjects
  
• Students will participate in 3 x 70 minute lessons per week in their subjects.
• Students will also participate in a Personal and Life Long Learning lesson.
• Students will have the option to participate in sports or select a recreational activity for 'BUZZ'​.​

​ Elective subje​cts

• Students will have to select at least one Technology subject.
  
• Students will need to select at least one Arts subject.​
  
• Students are only allowed to select a subject once.
  

Subject selection process

• Students will submit their selections using the One School portal accessed at http://oslp.eq.edu.au​.
  
• Students will select 4 elec​tive subjects.
  
• The college will endeavour to allocate stu​dents first choice but please note that this may not be possible for all students.
  

Subject selections are due​​​ by the last day of Term 2​
