Certificate III Hospitality

Students studying Hospitality are encouraged to think critically and creatively to make social and ethically responsible decision to enhance the wellbeing of their self, family and wider community.

Subject description

Hospitality empowers students to enhance their skills and knowledge from previous focus within in domestic applications of food technology and apply this to real life commercial situations. Students will learn basic principles for working in the hospitality industry along with Food and Nutrition Properties and their functions when preparing food items. 

Students have the opportunity to prepare functions for the International Program and Staff at BSSC as part of curriculum rich assessment tasks. 

Out of class requirements

Theoretical modules and vocational placement hours (approx. 25).
