Year 10 Sport and Recreation provides students with the opportunity to develop their fitness, teamwork, leadership, and practical sporting skills through participation in a wide range of physical activities.
This subject serves as an introduction to both the Certificate III in Fitness and the Year 11 and 12 Sport and Recreation Applied subject, making it an excellent pathway for students interested in the sport, fitness, recreation, and health industries.
Students will participate in a variety of sporting and recreational activities, including fitness training, Oz Tag, AFL 9s, golf, Fast5 Netball, gym-based fitness sessions, and other recreational pursuits. Through these activities, students will build confidence, improve their physical fitness, and develop an understanding of the importance of active and healthy lifestyles.
