Short-Term Study Tours – Hosting International Students
Burpengary State Secondary College welcomes international students on short-term study tours ranging from 3 nights to 3 weeks. These tours offer students a unique opportunity to experience Australian school life and culture in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Hosting a study tour student is a rewarding, fun, and culturally enriching experience for the whole family. Unlike long-term ISP students, study tour students typically arrive as part of a group and follow a structured short-term itinerary, including school visits, cultural excursions, and social activities.
What Hosting a Study Tour Student Involves
- Providing a comfortable room – students may share a room with another tour student but must have their own bed.
- Supplying three meals per day, plus snacks.
- Helping students with school transport – to and from Burpengary State Secondary College and school-related activities.
- Offering a warm, inclusive home environment that encourages conversation and cultural exchange.
- Welcoming students into family life and helping them adjust to new surroundings.
Study tour students are here for a short time, but the memories and connections often last a lifetime. Hosting is a great way to learn about another culture, build friendships, and make a difference in a young person's life.
