Kurt Fearnley, AO is an Australian wheelchair racer, who has won gold medals at the Paralympic Games and ‘crawled’ the Kokoda Track to raise awareness of men’s health, taking 2 weeks to complete the 96km trail. He has a congenital disorder which prevented development of certain parts of his lower spine and all of his sacrum, but this has never held him back.

In 2012 he was an active member of the winning Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race crew. He is a three time Paralympic gold medallist and two time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, who has won over 40 marathons. In 2018 he was awarded The Don as the Australian sports person most likely to inspire the nation.

For these reasons, Kurt Fearnley has earned our RESPECT.
