Burpengary State Secondary College offers a cashless purchasing option for payment of food at the canteen and online ordering for lunches to enhance the current ordering system.
Through a web portal, parents will be able to monitor purchases, set daily spending limits, ban specific items from sale, advise relevant allergy alerts, set low balance notifications, and top up the balance on the student account.
Use of the service will provide school students with a safe and secure introduction to today’s latest virtual e-commerce products. Photo identification at Point of Sale and other security procedures enable the safe use of the cashless system.
Students will be able to use their school ID card to access the funds instead of using cash (2018 students ID cards will be generated in March 2018). Use of this facility is completely free for parents and students of Burpengary State Secondary College however charges may be incurred when adding funds via online bank payment. As a free alternative, the College offers the facility to add funds via the Finance window.
In addition to offering this service, the Canteen will continue to welcome payment by cash or EFTPOS.
