Students with additional needs

The Student Diversity team strives to deliver a high standard of support services for students with special educational needs, with specific gifts and talents and who require additional support with learning. Our aim is to enable students to confidently and successfully access learning and to actively participate in our College community. We are investing time to develop close partnerships with students, teachers, parents and the broader community to ensure students are afforded the best opportunity to experience academic and personal growth.

The Student Diversity Centre (SDC) is a designated area within the College that offers an air-conditioned space that is well resourced to ensure our students can develop 21st century skills within a technology-enriched environment. Students are welcome at the SDC during break times where they can engage with each other and with our staff through conversations and games. Many great relationships are being forged between students and staff as we strive to know our students and provide them with quality educational and pastoral care. Programs we are looking forward to initiating within the SDC over the coming months include a homework club, and programs that aim to support the development of social skills and organisational strategies.
